NECK PAIN

I recently had a very painful neck. I have had this problem from time to time through the years and it has always been successfully treated with chiropractic adjustments. However, this time 8 chiropractic adjustments over the course of several weeks brought me no relief. X-rays showed considerable arthritic degeneration and a small bony spur. The pain was constant, inhibiting my normal activities and was very debilitating.

I decided to try acupuncture and went to Matt Miller at East West Acupuncture. After the first treatment, my pain improved. There continued to be improvement following each successive treatment. After nine acupuncture treatments, I am now almost 100% pain free and I am very grateful that I have not had to go on strong pain killers. OTC’s were not touching the pain at all. I am planning to get periodic acupuncture treatments in the future. Alternative treatments such as acupuncture are well worth considering and I am grateful to Matt Miller for his attention to this problem. I highly recommend it.

The only disappointment is that acupuncture is not covered by my insurance. I would hope that more insurance companies in Virginia will soon recognize that this is a valid medical treatment that can usually be much less expensive than conventional treatments.
