Ulcerative Colitis
Treatment of ulcerative colitis with acupuncture is empirical to date. A course of three to six acupuncture treatments has been reported to give maximum improvement (Campbell 1992). Another study reported a 65% rate (Requena 1981). Khoe found success in 12 patients who had failed with conventional treatment using a combination of acupuncture and dietary advice.
